UCLA Quarterback Josh Rosen Trolls NCAA On Instagram

UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen trolled the NCAA on Instagram after the Bruins’ deal with Under Armour was released.

You are the starting quarterback for an athletic program that just signed a $280 million shoe and apparel deal with Under Armour. What do you get?

UCLA’s Josh Rosen knows the unfortunate answer: not a single cent.

Trolling both the NCAA and other schools with less lucrative contracts, Rosen posted on Instagram the news.

“We’re still amateurs though…Gotta love non-profits #NCAA,” Rosen wrote.

The UCLA/Under Armour deal is the biggest in NCAA history, which says a lot given what Nike has inked in the past with powerhouses Ohio State, Texas, and Michigan.

This move is another big step for Under Armour in trying to overtake Nike as the nation’s premier apparel brand. Starting out with home-state Maryland, the company has since added major programs such as Auburn, Notre Dame, and South Carolina while overtaking Adidas in the brand wars.

Note to Rosen, though: if you play as well as you are capable, you’ll get paid the big bucks in two years.
