Live Football, William & Mary vs Lafayette Results 2014

On the 20th of September 2014, William and Mary displayed an impressive comeback to defeat Lafayette 33-19.

The game began with William & Mary securing the first point on the board when running back Kendell Anderson secured a touchdown from the 3.

The leopards returned with a touchdown of their own from 72 yards by running back Ross Scheuerman tying the score at the end of the 1st quarter.

The leopards started the second quarter with Demetrius Dixon securing a 6-yard touchdown pass from Drew Reed.

Wiliam & Mary tried to bring the score closer when DeAndre Houston-Carson secured a defensive PAT conversion however, this was responded with another touchdown for the leopards running 4 yards by Drew Reed.

At half time the score had the Leopards ahead 19-9 looking like they were going to run away with the game.

In the third quarter, it would seem as though something happened inside the William & Mary Tribe as they rallied displaying a dominant quarter beginning with a 4-yard touchdown pass by Kendell Anderson from Steve Cluley. This was followed by Cluley running a pair of touchdowns himself from 10 and 4 yards.

Entering the final quarter the score had William & Mary ahead 33-19. The Leopards needed to put on a display much like the Tribe had in the previous quarter. Unfortunately, they were unable to do so with William and Mary running away with the victory after John Carpenter secured a final field goal from 49 yards out to make the final score 33-19.
