2015 Tennessee Preview

After seven years of swinging and missing, Butch Jones has put together a powerhouse for this season of CFB.

Expectations are leading possibly to an SEC East title.

With 21 stars returning for this season on top of many tremendously talented individuals waiting in the wings excuses about being young will no longer work.

Being in the SEC, everyone has talent, everyone has star recruiting classes to find that talent.

Although Tenessee is looking better that does not mean that the other teams will not be a challenge. It’s important for them to show a more consistent offence while also is imperative they can still perform against a decent offence. It’s important the O’Line can protect their quarterback, the defence should be a force at times but the run D has to be stronger and more active. While the players have the ability to succeed, they are going to have to give it they’re all in order to close.

What you need to know about the offence:

  • Tremendous group of young stars, QB Joshua Dobbs and pounding back Jalen Hurd.
  • Top ten targets of last last year returning to the receiving corps.

What you need to know about the defence:

  • New recruit 320 pound Kahlil Mckenzie joining the line
  • Pass rushing terror Derek Barnett joining the front.
  • Duo Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Curt Maggitt set to be the most disruptive linebackers in the SEC
  • The safety Brian Randolph is a terrific player in a decent secondary that returns three starters.

The season will be a success if Tennessee is able to emerge victorious in the SEC East. While this would be a great leap for a team that emerged with only seven wins last season, with the returning and new recruits making up the team for the season this looks to be a very possible goal.
