Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul: Eddie Hearn provides huge update

Anthony Joshua

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has provided an update regarding a potential boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.

In one of the strangest developments in the recent history of boxing, Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul is a fight that could actually happen. Despite many, many people warning that it’s an incredibly dangerous idea, it seems as if all parties involved are keen on pushing forward.

As we know, Anthony Joshua would be the overwhelming favorite – but that doesn’t seem to matter to Jake Paul all too much. He genuinely believes that he’d be in with a shot of defeating the Brit, who as we know, is a former heavyweight champion.

In a recent interview, Eddie Hearn gave an update on just how likely it is that these two men will meet in the middle of the ring.

Eddie Hearn discusses Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul

“This is very real,” Hearn said when asked by The Ring about Joshua-Paul.

“I had a good chat for about an hour with Nakisa on Wednesday [July 30] and now I believe they want the fight, I really do.

“Nakisa was very honest and he’s concerned about the fight but Jake truly believes he can win the fight or at least be competitive in it.

“And now because of the size of the fight, it leads me to believe there’s a very good chance it could happen. If I had to rate that chance I would say it’s 50:50. It was a very positive conversation and we expect that conversation to extend over the coming weeks.

“If they really want it, it will happen.”
