Anthony Joshua Open To Rematching Dillian Whyte Next

Anthony Joshua isn’t opposed to rematching Dillian Whyte next time out.

Joshua is coming off back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk and after his last fight, he wanted to face Tyson Fury. However, that never came to fruition and now Joshua’s promoter in Eddie Hearn has talked about the possibility of Joshua rematching Whyte next time out.

Although Joshua already beat Whyte back in 2015 which he won by TKO, he says he would take that fight if it was offered.

“You know what it is? It is best that you do speak to me because I can say it from the horse’s mouth,” Joshua told iFL TV. “It could be, but don’t hold me to the cross the things I say. The game’s forever changing. It’s also whatever Dillian wants to do as well. Would I fight Dillian again? Yes, 100%.”

If Anthony Joshua does beat Dillian Whyte next time out, he says he would like Tyson Fury. It’s a fight that many fans have wanted to see and the hope is it can happen sometime in 2023 or 2024.

“Fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world (against Fury) was a big opportunity for me. After just coming off of a loss, as well … it was annoying that it didn’t happen,” Joshua said. “And, yes, it’s annoying, so that’s why I decided after that there’s too much back and forth. When I’m ready to ride again, I’ll ride out proper. I’ll ride until the wheels fall off next time out, in the sense that I’ve got myself a time frame and a duration, I got a hit list and I’ll rock and roll.”

As for Dillian Whyte, he’s set to face Jermaine Franklin on Nov. 26 after losing by TKO to Tyson Fury back in April.
