Bob Arum Believes There Are Still ‘Major’ Fights For Tyson Fury

Bob Arum knows there are still massive fights for Tyson Fury if he doesn’t retire.

On Saturday at Wembley Stadium, Fury knocked out Dillian Whyte to defend his titles, and in the lead-up to the fight, he made it clear this was his retirement fight. Yet, many were uncertain if that was the case and he confirmed it once again after his win that he would be hanging up his gloves. However, for Arum, he believes there are still massive fights for the champ.

“It’s good for him to contemplate it and so forth,” Arum told BoxingScene.com. “Obviously, if there’s nothing major on the horizon, anything’s possible. I think there’s some major, major fights for him that we’re gonna be looking at down the road.”

If Tyson Fury does retire, he will end his career as the heavyweight champion of the world and would retire undefeated, which not many boxers let alone heavyweights can say. However, he still is only 33 and seems to be in the prime of his career as well as having fights against Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk as possibilities, there are still big paydays for him. With that, Bob Arum says he plans to spread to Tyson Fury soon.

“He’s coming to the United States to vacation with his family, and I’ll have plenty of time to talk with him,” Arum said. “I’m not gonna convince him of anything. It’s up to him. He’s a terrific guy. He’s very intelligent and he’ll make his own decision.”

If this is the end of Tyson Fury’s career, he had a heck of a career and his KO win over Dillian Whyte at home was a good way to go out.
