Regis Prograis has said that he believes the size difference between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford is what will ultimately decide their mammoth superfight on September 13th.

In just under two months, Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will collide at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s one of the most highly anticipated fights in boxing history with the masses descending on Sin City in order to find out who ‘the man’ really is between these two all-time legends.

As we know, Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford have both already accomplished such wonderful things in the sport of professional boxing. In equal measure, this would be the kind of signature win that would take both to entirely new heights.

In a recent interview, Regis Prograis weighed in on the conversation and backed Canelo Alvarez to get his hand raised in Vegas.

Regis Prograis backs Canelo Alvarez to defeat Terence Crawford

“I’m going Canelo. It’s great big man against great little man. Usually the great big man usually wins,” said Regis Prograis to Fighthype, picking Canelo Alvarez to defeat Terence Crawford. “The same thing with Mel [Jermell Charlo].”

“Skill-wise, Crawford is great. Historically, you can put him in as one of the greatest fighters ever,” said Prograis. “But with that size difference. When Mel went up when they were facing off, Mel was looking big. He was looking bigger than Canelo. They were like, ‘Damn, Mel looks big.’ On fight night, you could see the difference.”
