Daniel Dubois sends confident message to the masses ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch

Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois

Daniel Dubois seems to be as prepared as he possibly can be as he prepares for his highly anticipated rematch against Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.

This weekend, Daniel Dubois will attempt to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. It’s a trajectory that he’s been on for quite some time now, and in order to get over the line, he’ll need to do the unthinkable – defeat Oleksandr Usyk. The two have fought once before and in that instance, it was Usyk who was able to get his hand raised.

Now, though, it’s hard to know what’s going to happen. Daniel Dubois is as confident as he’s ever been and rightfully so, given that in his last fight, he knocked out Anthony Joshua. He did so in a manner that we’ve never seen before and at this point, anyone who is ruling him out here hasn’t been paying attention.

In a recent press conference, Daniel Dubois made it crystal clear that he’s as focused as he can be on victory.

“Right now, I just want to get it on. I’m going to write my own script. I’m going to win these belts,” Dubois said.

“I’m going to be the man.

“I’ve prepared right, I’m just a different level now. I’m going to do whatever I need to do whatever I need to do on Saturday, I’m chasing glory and chasing greatness.

“This is history making. I’ve just got to do a real demolition job. I’m hungry and I’m ready for it.”

“It means nothing to me,” he said. “He’s going to lose his money. I’m just focused now. Let’s get it on.”
