Frank Warren On Fury’s Fighting Future: ‘No One Is Going To Tell Tyson Fury What To Do’
Frank Warren is still uncertain about Tyson Fury’s fighting future.
After Fury knocked out Dillian Whyte at Wembley he announced that would be it for him. However, he did say he would face Francis Ngannou in a hybrid fight but his boxing career was over. It is disappointing news as many fans wanted to see Fury continue to fight and for Warren, he’s uncertain on it.
โIs he going to fight again? Who knows?โ Warren said (via BoxingScene). โThere is only one person who is going to make that decision and that will be him. Me, personally, I would not say to him โyou need to fightโ because I would never go there with him. If someoneโs not got it in their heart to fight, then they shouldnโt be in the ring because itโs the most-dangerous sport you can get involved in and you can get hurt. What I wouldnโt like him to do is retire now and then come back because heโs not reached his peak. He has no mileage on the clock and heโs only had two fights in two years.
“I look at him and I think that in two or three years later, he isnโt going to be at his peak. So, fight at your best, whatever you do, do it when youโre at your best,” Warren said. “I canโt tell him what to do, all I can do is give him the benefit of my advice. Whatever he decides to do will be for the benefit of himself and his family. Whatever heโs going to do, heโs going to do. I canโt tell him what he should do because heโs too intelligent for me to try and influence. Heโs a very smart person, a very clever man.โ
If Tyson Fury does come back to boxing, Frank Warren makes it clear, no one beats the heavyweight champ.
Do you think we will see Tyson Fury box again?
