Jake Paul praises Ben Askren’s fighting spirit
Jake Paul has praised former boxing rival Ben Askren for his fighting spirit after a video was released of him after receiving a double lung transplant.
While he may be a controversial figure within the world of professional boxing, Jake Paul has certainly had some great moments. From enhancing the image of women’s boxing to drawing more eyes to the sport with his ‘showcase’ fights, ‘The Problem Child’ is nothing if not a really, really good promoter – and he has a huge future ahead of him in that department.
One of Jake Paul’s past opponents was former UFC fighter Ben Askren. Recently, Askren underwent a double lung transplant as a result of a staph infection and complications from pneumonia.
In a recent tweet, Jake Paul was quick to praise Askren after a video was released of him thanking his fans for their support.

In addition to this, Jake Paul also reportedly paid a significant amount towards his medical bills to cover his treatment.
Paul certainly gives off the kind of persona that a lot of boxing fans don’t like and that much is obvious. With that being said, Jake knows when to get real, and this was one of the instances in which he really showed up in a big way.
As for Askren, we can only hope that he continues to build and recover from here after what has been one hell of a battle. He is an absolute legend within the world of wrestling and mixed martial arts and the way in which the community has rallied around him just goes to show what kind of an influence he had on both sports.
