Jake Paul Signs Multi Fight Deal With Showtime Sports

Jake Paul will be linking up with Showtime for his future boxing fights.

The polarizing YouTube star transitioned to boxing in 2020 and has been successful against extremely poor opposition.

Paul stopped fellow internet celebrity AnEsonGib in his first professional bout. Following that, the 24-year-old sensationally knocked out former NBA player, Nate Robinson, on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. Paul squared off against an actual fighter for the first time in April. Ben Askren was an MMA champion in multiple organizations but had been retired for two years and was infamous for his lack of striking ability throughout his fight career. Paul once again picked up another quick stoppage victory.

Since then, Paul has been linked to matchups against a number of different fighters including Tommy Fury, Tyron Woodley, Kamaru Usman, and Conor McGregor.

Last week, the viral sensation revealed he is a free agent which came as a surprise to many considering his close ties to Triller.

It appears Showtime Sports have pounced on the situation and have tied Paul to a multi-fight deal.

“Jake is proud of the events he participated in with Triller and appreciates the opportunities they afforded him,” Paul’s representative, Nakisa Bidarian, told ESPN. “Jake is excited to continue his boxing career with Showtime Boxing. Fight announcement coming soon.”

Triller CEO, Ryan Kavanaugh also confirmed they will no longer be working with Paul.

“We love Jake,” Kavanaugh said. “I wish Jake the absolute best. We had our two fights with him. … I think for us, we’ve gone the distance with him that we can go. We won’t be doing any more Jake fights.”

Logan Paul also has ties to Showtime. The older brother of Jake is set to square off against Floyd Mayweather on Showtime pay-per-view on June 6.
