Manny Pacquiao voices interest in Conor Benn fight

Manny Pacquiao

As noted in an interview with Covers.com, Manny Pacquiao has declared that he would be interested in squaring off with Conor Benn later this year.

As we know, Manny Pacquiao returned to the boxing ring last weekend in a battle with Mario Barrios. While many were writing him off given that he’s now 46 years of age, Manny was able to turn back the clock in style. He was able to scrap his way to a draw, and while that was a monumental result in the eyes of many, some even feel as if he should’ve been given the win.

Either way, Manny Pacquiao was back – and it doesn’t appear as if he’s going anywhere anytime soon. He seems to be in incredible shape and he still possesses the speed and precision necessary to cause problems for a lot of fighters at the elite level. Of course, many boxers out there will want to test the waters and see how they fare against him, but it’s a big risk given what he was able to produce against Barrios.

In a recent interview with Covers.com, Manny Pacquiao made it known that he’d be more than open to the idea of throwing down with Conor Benn if his planned rematch against Chris Eubank Jr doesn’t come to fruition.

Manny Pacquiao open to Conor Benn showdown

โ€œAs long as itโ€™s the same weight, at 147, then no problem [I will fight Conor Benn],โ€ Pacquiao said. โ€œItโ€™s no problem for me to come to the UK, my daughter is studying in the UK. In fact, weโ€™re planning to go to the UK.โ€
