Mike Tyson set for exhibition battle with Floyd Mayweather
Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather are reportedly set to face off in an exhibition boxing match next year.
In the world of professional boxing, it’s become pretty common to see some strange fights take place. Over the course of the last few years, we’ve seen everything from influencer boxing to exhibitions that would’ve seemed unthinkable just a few years ago. This includes Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson which, while successful financially, didn’t exactly do much to please hardcore fans of the sport.
Some wondered whether or not that would be the final time we’d see Mike Tyson in a boxing ring. As it turns out, that isn’t the case. According to reports, Tyson will go head to head with Floyd Mayweather, who has also taken part in his fair share of exhibitions ever since he stepped away from fighting competitively.
While the details are few and far between right now, the belief is that Mike Tyson vs Floyd Mayweather is an actual exhibition that is actually going to happen, and it’s going to go down in spring 2026.
Mike Tyson vs Floyd Mayweather is on
It doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense for this to take place but given what we know when it comes to Tyson’s recent history, as well as Floyd’s, we can’t imagine it’ll be much of a contest. It’ll probably be nothing more than a sparring match, if you can even count it as that.
Mayweather continues to do everything in his power to keep one foot in the world of boxing despite having retired many years ago, whereas ‘Iron Mike’ is hungry to prove that he’s still got a bit of gas left in the tank.
Either way, this is probably going to draw a lot of attention, as you’d expect with names like this.
