Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 reportedly in the works for July

Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois

Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 is reportedly in the works for July 12 at Wembley Stadium in London, as per Ring Magazine.

One thing we know about Oleksandr Usyk is that he loves competing against fellow British heavyweights. Across his last six fights in the ring, he has been able to go 6-0 against Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Daniel Dubois.

Of course, as we know, Oleksandr Usyk’s August 2023 bout against Dubois was filled with controversy. That’s because Dubois landed a blow that probably would’ve led to a TKO win, only for the referee to rule that it was a low blow as opposed to a fair shot.

Ever since then, Daniel Dubois has been on a mission to get back to another fight against Oleksandr Usyk. His latest victory was a devastating knockout triumph over Anthony Joshua, putting him firmly in line for a crack at the champion.

Now, it seems as if Dubois is going to get his wish – on the biggest stage of them all.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2

Oleksandr Usyk has proven himself to be the best heavyweight of his generation – up to this point, at least. He has faced and overcome adversity, and against someone as dangerous as Daniel Dubois, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not he can implement the same successful game plan.

Dubois is coming into this one at Wembley Stadium (if it’s confirmed) with nothing to lose. He knows this is the biggest opportunity of his career and while Usyk could very well get the job done all over again, you’d have to imagine the Brit is going to come at him with everything he’s got.

In a year that is likely to be full of even more major boxing fights, this could prove to be one of the most consequential.
