Boxing sensation Terence Crawford has explained why he’s been able to stay so dominant in the ring, despite fighting just once annually for the last five years.

In his next outing, Terence Crawford will face arguably the toughest test of his career to date. He will go head to head with Canelo Alvarez in a superfight that has been years in the making. A lot of people didn’t think we’d actually see it but now, two of the biggest names in boxing are set to collide, and they’ll do so in front of a global audience.

While Canelo has the size, Terence Crawford is one of the best fighters of his generation – and perhaps one of the most technically sound boxers of all time. He knows how to get the job done and if you don’t believe us, just go and take a look at his utterly incredible 41-0 record.

In a recent interview, Terence Crawford explained how he’s been able to stay so dominant for so long inside the squared circle.

Terence Crawford explains his dominance

โ€œI guess Iโ€™m blessed. Staying in the gym, saying around the gym, and a lot of fighters need that rest, especially when you go through brutal camps like I do. Youโ€™re body needs that rest,โ€ said Terence Crawford to Ring Magazine when asked why heโ€™s been unaffected by his inactivity in the last five years.

โ€œI think going from one camp to another camp, that breaks your body down. And then you see these fighters that look good in one fight, and then in the next fight, itโ€™s like night and day. Youโ€™re like, โ€˜Damn, whatโ€™s going on with this fighter?โ€™ Itโ€™s because their body is tired and worn down,โ€ said Crawford.
