Dana White explains how he wants to “fix” boxing
UFC boss Dana White has once again spoken about how he plans on “fixing” the sport of professional boxing.
As we know, Dana White is the face of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. In addition to that, he’s also been making a few waves as of late in the boxing world, with part of that being his role in the promotion of Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford this weekend.
Now, after many years of teasing it, Dana White seems to be really committing to the idea that he’s going to be pretty active in boxing next year and beyond.
In a recent interview, Dana White had the following to say on the matter.
Dana White wants to fix boxing
“Basically, in 2026, I’m going to start my show, and what I’m going to do is basically like Contender Series. The best will fight the best, undefeated guys will fight undefeated guys.”
“What you will do is you will care about the first fight of the night, and not just the main event.”
“I will build stars, put on great fights, and then these guys will graduate and fight with Sheik Turki.”
“There’s no ego or arrogance when I talk about getting into boxing and trying to ‘fix it.’ This is a busted sport.”

A lot of boxing fans are going to roll their eyes at some of White’s comments, and given the fighter pay structure in mixed martial arts (and especially in the UFC) that makes a lot of sense. Alas, Dana tends to throw everything he’s got into any project he takes part in, as we can see from Contender Series and Power Slap – with those products, admittedly, having mixed results.
Either way, it’s going to be pretty interesting to see, in Dana’s words, how this all plays out.
