Dillian Whyte Doesn’t Think ‘Coward’ Deontay Wilder Will Fight Again

Dillian Whyte blasted Deontay Wilder for his recent comments.

Wilder made headlines recently when he claimed Tyson Fury cheated in both their WBC heavyweight title fights. The American went on to blame former trainer Mark Breland for throwing in the towel as well as referee Kenny Bayless.

In addition, Wilder also suspected his water was spiked before the fight as he believed Breland had something to do with it.

As one would expect, many in the combat sports world ridiculed Wilder for his new set of excuses which followed his initial excuse of his walkout costume being too heavy — which, in turn, affected his performance.

And Whyte, in particular, wasn’t impressed as he doesn’t expect to see “The Bronze Bomber” in the ring again.

“I don’t think we’ll see him in the ring ever again,” Whyte told Sky Sports (via Boxing Scene). “He’s a coward and a disgrace. The behavior he’s shown and the way he’s acted, blaming everyone apart from himself, getting rid of the only person [Breland] in his corner who knows anything about boxing? It’s weird.

“I didn’t give one excuse after my defeat. I went straight back into training and started working on what I did wrong.”

Whyte certainly didn’t give any excuses after his most recent setback.

The Briton suffered a devastating uppercut at the hands of Alexander Povetkin in August that knocked him out cold. Whyte was dominating the fight until that point but accepted that things like that can happen in heavyweight boxing.

A rematch between the pair is set for November 21.
