Errol Spence Jr. knows he didn’t fight to the best of his ability on Saturday night.

Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford were fighting for the unified welterweight titles in a highly-anticipated fight. Crawford was a slight betting favorite but he dominated the scrap as he dropped Spence Jr. three times to get the ninth-round TKO.

The loss was disappointing for Spence Jr. but he says he will likely trigger his immediate rematch clause as he knows he is better than what he showed.

ā€œI know Iā€™m a lot better than what I showed tonight,ā€ Spence Jr. said. ā€œAnd I know that a lotta things was off with me ā€¦ even though Terence Crawford did what he was supposed to do. He was sharp and he was on point, and he made sure he was a hundred percent ready in this fight.ā€

According to Errol Spence Jr., he says his timing was off which is why Terence Crawford was able to drop him and hurt him.

ā€œI got a feel for his power probably like first, second round,ā€ Spence Jr. said. ā€œYou know, heā€™s a strong dude, but you know, everybody at this top level have some type of power. But I think because my timing was off he was catching me in between shots… Nothing really surprised me. He was just like I thought. Just my timing wasnā€™t good today.ā€

Do you think Errol Spence Jr. will fare better in the rematch?
