Floyd Mayweather: Amir Khan says potential bankruptcy is ‘karma’
Following rumors that Floyd Mayweather could be facing bankruptcy, Amir Khan has suggested that this is karma for the boxing legend.
As we know, Floyd Mayweather is one of the most successful boxers of all time. He’s also one of the most financially lucrative, constantly putting up big pay per view numbers throughout the course of his career.
In recent years, however, there have been suggestions that Floyd Mayweather’s financial position may not be as stable as it once was. These are just rumblings at this point, but it’s caused quite the stir within the boxing community.
Amir Khan, a fellow top boxer in his own right during his prime, recently gave his thoughts on Floyd Mayweather in an interview with PokerFirma.com – and he didn’t hold back.
Amir Khanโs view on Floyd Mayweatherโs rumored bankruptcy
โIt is sad, but lookโkarmaโs a bitch. The thing is, look how arrogant he was. Heโs flaunting money. You canโt throw money and show money like that to people.
โWhen we flaunt money, we spend it on buying investments. Heโs flaunting money being filthy rich, so heโs trying to put everyone else down. I think karmaโs a bitch there.
โSecondly with the war thatโs happening in Palestine and in Gaza, look at him. Heโs totally picking Israel, and he says: โIโm going to support the soldiers.โ
โI think heโs lost a lot of fans that way because for him, he doesnโt care which side he picks as long as heโs going to make money. The Israel side has 100% offered him money.
โMy wife, myselfโweโve been messaged and weโve had calls from people to say, โSupport the Israel side, you will be financially benefited.โ But no, I donโt want to do that. Floyd wants money, and you see how karmaโs a bitchโthereโs now reports about him being broke or losing money. Iโve never really respected him with some of the things that he does.
โIโve lost a lot of respect for him, for when he started picking sides, we donโt want to be standing there promoting war, and heโs promoting war, standing on the Israel side.โ
