Harlem Eubank Aims To Keep Undefeated Record Alive Against Daniel Egbunik

Unbeaten super lightweight Harlem Eubank (10-0, 3KO) will face the toughest test of his career on Wednesday (Dec. 2) when he faces off against another undefeated fighter in the shape of Daniel Egbunik (6-0, 3KO). The pair will meet at MTK’s upcoming #GoldenContract event, which takes place inside the Production Park Studios in Wakefield.

The 26-year-old, who is Chris Eubank Jr’s cousin, is looking to continue on the excellent work he did during his last outing. At the start of the year, Eubank stopped the UK’s Martin McDonagh in the final round of their eight round clash. A win over Egbunik would set Eubank up for some bigger fights further down the line.

“I’m focused on this fight, and I’m not looking beyond Egbunike, but it’s all about further progressing in the artform and continuing to develop my skills at a higher level,” Eubank said.

“We’ve all been pushing each other hard at the gym at a high intensity. We have some big fights lined up in the gym, and training next to the people in there is great.”

Egbuinike has been out of the ring for almost a year. However, Eubank is expecting a tough night between the ropes when the two square of this week.

“Egbunike has been out of the ring for a while, but I don’t think that time away will be a disadvantage. He will have prepared hard and will be as excited for this fight as I am,” Eubank commented.

“I’ve gone through a fight week behind closed doors already, so that is a great experience, and knowing the surroundings is always good for preparation.”

Eubank has the full support of his famous boxing relatives, and a win this week will seem him capital up the UK super lightweight ranks.
