Munguia is set to box Alvarez on Saturday night in an intriguing matchup. It’s a highly-anticipated bout and one that Alvarez is the betting favorite in. However, Munguia is confident he can have success against Alvarez and vows to give the fans an exciting fight.

“The main thing is, we can’t get over-confident,” Munguia said (via BoxingScene). “It’s gonna be a very mental fight; a very cerebral fight, where we’ve got to pick our spots and be sure about what we’re doing on Saturday night. The key is I trust my preparations. My team and I did amazing things together, and you’re gonna see that reflected on Saturday night, when it’s gonna be a great fight. It’s gonna be a tough fight, that’s for sure. What matters most is it’s gonna be an amazing fight for you guys to witness. I’m really glad to be here. It’s so good to see you all. If Munguia does out-think Alvarez and pull off the upset win, it would be a big upset. However, Munguia will need to beat Alvarez twice as the Mexican has a rematch clause, but Munguia has confidence in his tools that he can beat Alvarez.

However, this is a massive step up in competition, but the undefeated fighter has confidence he can pull off a massive upset on Saturday night.
