Jake Paul Refused To Sign Up For Drug Tests Ahead Of Tommy Fury Fight

Tommy Fury Jake Paul

Jake Paul has been accused of refusing to sign up for VADA drug tests ahead of his December 18 fight against Tommy Fury.

John Fury revealed that Paul slipped several unusual things into his sons’ fight contract and also refused to sign up for voluntary drug tests ahead of the bout between two undefeated prospects.

“All kinds of stuff in the contract,” Fury told YouTube star Rob Moore. “You’ve got to do this and you’ve got to do that. I could go into it more and more but I don’t want to bore people with the politics.

“They wouldn’t sign up to the VADA testing as well, Fury added. “That bothered me a little bit because I wanted that in the contract, but they wouldn’t do that. I’m not even bothered about that, because of what they’re going to do, they’re going to do anyway. We just want the fight because we know we can win it.

“People think that Tommy’s getting paid to lose, they’re joking. A Fury would rather be put to death than go down that road.” (Transcribed by TalkSPORT)

Jake Paul Has Transitioned Form YouTube To Boxing

Paul transitioned to professional boxing in 2020 and has looked impressive against low-level opponents. The YouTuber held wins over a fellow internet celebrity, a retired NBA player, and Ben Askren before he stepped in against Tyron Woodley in August.

‘The Problem Child’ survived some tough moments to walk away with a deserved split decision win over ‘The Chosen One’ who has been demanding a rematch ever since but has been overlooked in favour of a fight with Tyson Fury’s younger brother.

Tommy Fury is 7-0 as a professional boxer but mostly known for appearing on Love Island and having a famous family. The 22-year-old fought MMA fighter Anthony Taylor on Paul’s last undercard, winning the bout convincingly but failing to impress.
