Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr: Tommy Fury gives his thoughts on the fight

Jake Paul, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

Tommy Fury, the only man to defeat Jake Paul in professional boxing, has given this thoughts on Jake’s upcoming showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

As we know, Jake Paul is set to return to the ring on June 28 to battle it out with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Some see this as one of his toughest tests to date, whereas others believe he’s simply facing another ‘washed’ boxer who is there for the taking. Either way, it should make for an interesting night of action as ‘The Problem Child’ attempts to grow his brand even further.

For Jake Paul, boxing has become a way for him to increase his brand and visibility – while also beating up some big names along the way. However, as already stated, the one man he wasn’t able to defeat was Tommy Fury, in a showdown that wasn’t quite as electric as many believed it could be.

In a recent interview, Tommy Fury gave his thoughts on Jake Paul’s next outing.

Tommy Fury’s view on Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

“I don’t know, it is what it is, but put it this way, if I can box circles round him, a former world champion who’s done 12 rounds with Canelo Alvarez and many great champions, he should be able to do one better, shouldn’t he? But listen, age is a killer isn’t it. He’s fighting someone past his pomp, way past his pomp.”

Fury seems to be on a different path to Paul right now, but who knows whether or not they’re going to cross paths again. There’s a lot of potential (financially) in them colliding once again, but Jake can’t afford to take his eye off the ball – even in a fight that the majority of people believe he can win.
