Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva – 30th October

Jake Paul

It was announced by TMZ sports that Jake Paul would be set to face off with the longtime UFC Middleweight champion and MMA Legend Anderson Silva. Jake Paul has not been involved in a fight since December 2021. He won a rematch against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley by impressively knocking him out in the sixth round.

If the match against Silva proceeds as planned, it will be a massive opportunity for Paul to regain some of his former momentum for his fighting career, seeing as his past two fights have fallen through. In the past nine months, Jake Paul was meant to face off with UK reality TV star Tommy Fury in a very high-profile grudge match, but on both occasions, Fury withdrew from the dates that were scheduled.

Let’s have a closer look at some of the betting odds for this upcoming match. Jake Paul is undoubtedly a famous personality, and he always manages to attract many spectators to his fights. This is one of the many reasons that he has a 72% majority of the popular vote for beating Silva.

Anderson Silva is a Brazilian American mixed martial artist and boxer born on 14 April 1975.

Silva is considered to be one of the most accomplished Fighters in MMA history. During his UFC run from 2006 to 2020, Silva managed a 17-7 record, including a 16-fight winning streak, one of the longest winning streaks in UFC fighting history. Despite the bookmakers showing Anderson more likely to beat Jake Paul, the public seems to fade him, with 72% of all incoming bets seeming to favour Jake Paul to take the win. Although this will not be the first time that Jake Paul has taken on a UFC Legend, he has seemed to do fairly well in the past.

Final Outlook

Anderson Silva is a legend in his own right, and as a former middleweight UFC champion Silva has 34 wins during his UFC career, and 23 of them were by way of knockout. In his current boxing career, he has a 3-1, with a split decision win over the former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar. No matter how you look at it, this is quite impressive.

Jake Paul will undoubtedly have his work cut out for him going up against an opponent as formidable as Anderson Silva. However, the public indeed thinks that Jake Paul can pull this one off. Jake Paul has been training as a professional boxer for the past four years, but this could be the first time he enters the ring as an underdog.

Anderson is not deterred by the popular vote going towards Jake Paul as he is a more than capable fighter and, according to the odds, stands a better chance at beating the favourite.

This upcoming fight will surely be an entertaining spectacle and have everyone on the edge of their seats.
