Manny Pacquiao reveals plans for next boxing match

Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao has confirmed that he plans on returning to the boxing ring once again in early 2026.

Earlier this year, Manny Pacquiao battled Mario Barrios at the age of 46. While many were concerned about how he would perform, he wound up battling Barrios to a draw – and many believe he should’ve had his hand raised in victory, which would’ve earned him the WBC welterweight championship. Alas, it didn’t come to fruition, and fans began speculating as to whether or not he would ever fight again.

Given how good he looked, it made sense to think that the great Manny Pacquiao could make the walk at least one more time. While there’s been no opponent officially announced, it does seem as if we’re going to be treated to this icon of the sport getting back in the ring.

In a recent statement, Manny Pacquiao made it clear for everyone to hear that he is well and truly back.

Manny Pacquiao is back

“In a video credited to Indistry Media, Pacquiao (62-8-3, with 39 knockouts), who is turning 47 this December 2025, announced the exact date of his ring return.

“Hello to all my boxing fans. I’m excited to let you know that I will be returning to the ring January 24th in Las Vegas,” he said in the video, which is already making rounds on social media.”

Pacquiao has nothing left to prove and we all know that to be the case, but even so, he’s still got the ability to beat some elite fighters – and that’s saying something about his longevity. As opposed to taking on safe fights, he wants to go out there and showcase himself for the world to see. Who knows, maybe he’ll hold another world title again before it’s all said and done.
