Moses Itauma hints at Oleksandr Usyk fight after destroying Dillian Whyte
British heavyweight sensation Moses Itauma has called for a potential fight with Oleksandr Usyk after absolutely tearing through Dillian Whyte on Saturday night.
Last weekend, Moses Itauma really reached the next level in his young career. The 20-year-old dismantled Dillian Whyte and he did so with relative ease. As such, many are starting to question whether or not he’s ready to compete for a world championship – even though he’s still very early in his run.
For Moses Itauma, it’s all about taking things day by day. He’s going to be given a lot of offers and interest that he hasn’t previously received before, and that may include a showdown with Oleksandr Usyk. Alas, it all comes down to whether or not his team think it’s the best idea.
In his post-fight interview, Moses Itauma spoke candidly about the possibility of fighting Oleksnadr Usyk at some point in the future.
Moses Itauma looks to the future
“What is next? I will fight anyone they put in front of me,” Itauma told DAZN.
“[The crowd] are saying [undisputed champion Oleksandr] Usyk. The team mentioned they want me to get some rounds out. Any of them can happen.”
“I put on a performance for you guys so it’s now ‘who’s next?’,” Itauma said.
“I don’t want to call out Usyk because I don’t believe I deserve the opportunity, but guys that do deserve the opportunity – I want to fight those lot.
“So maybe Agit Kabayel, maybe Joseph Parker. Maybe them type of names.”

Itauma doesn’t seem to let a whole lot impact him at this point in his career. That can only be a positive thing, but if he’s thrown in there too early with someone like Usyk, it could set him back – so we’ll have to see how it plays out.
