Oleksandr Usyk vs. Dereck Chisora Weigh-in Results & Face Off

Oleksandar Usyk and Dereck Chisora will finally meet on Halloween night and Chisora made the most of it by dressing up for their weigh-in and face off.

The two were supposed to fight earlier this year but the COVID-19 pandemic halted those plans. It is a very intriguing matchup with Chisora believing he will hand Usyk his first loss and do so by knockout.

“I told him that I’m bringing the African Mandingo style,” said the enigmatic Chisora when interviewed by Sky Sports in the U.K (via RingTV). “I’m gonna rough and tough him. I’m going to war – African style. Either we knock him out or he’s gonna quit on his stool.”

Entering the fight, Chisora weighed-in almost forty pounds heavier. Yet, for Usyk, he doesn’t believe size will be factor in this fight at all.

“I’m in exactly the shape I wanted to be,” said Usyk, through co-promoter and translator Alex Krassyuk. “I could have been [a bit heavier, but weight won’t be a factor.]

“It’s important to make a good statement Saturday night to avoid any hesitations of my opponents in the future. A lot of people still don’t believe in me. On Saturday night I will make my statement at heavyweight, but people will still say things. That’s not my problem.”

Dereck Chisora enters this fight on a three-fight winning streak after beating David Price by TKO last October. Usyk, meanwhile, is 17-0 and coming off a win over Chazz Witherspoon last October as well.

Weigh-in Results:

Oleksandr Usyk (217.25) vs. Dereck Chisora (255.5)

Savannah Marshall (159.25) vs. Hannah Rankin (158.25) – for WBO middleweight title

George Kambosos Jr. (134.75) vs. Lee Selby (134.75) – final eliminator for the IBF lightweight title

After the weigh-ins, Usyk and Chisora faced off and Chisora wore a Halloween costume for it.
