Ryan Garcia calls for superfight against Manny Pacquiao
Controversial boxing star Ryan Garcia has called for a fight against Manny Pacquiao following the latter’s recent return to the ring.
As we know, Manny Pacquiao recently made his comeback in a tense and intriguing draw against Mario Barrios. Ever since then, many have questioned what could be next for him – and it seems as if the answer could be a collision with Ryan Garcia.
While he may have lost his last fight to Rolly Romero, Ryan Garcia still seems to be the name on everyone’s lips in the boxing world – especially around his weight class.
In a recent interview, Ryan Garcia doubled down on the idea that he should face off against Manny at some point in the future.
Ryan Garcia wants Manny Pacquiao showdown
โIโve been interested in fighting the legendary Manny Pacquiao for a while now,โ Garcia told The Ring during an extensive interview. โItโs something that you dream of. There were talks in the past of us fighting, and then it fell through. There is a history there. I am always up for the challenge. I would be lying if I said I am not interested. If Manny wants to throw down, letโs do it.โ
โIโm looking for and shooting for a fight in December,โ said Garcia. โI want to fight in Las Vegas, in front of a big crowd. I want to feed off the crowd and get back in my element.
โI am already training, lifting weights, and lightly hitting the pads. I am sure Iโll be able to go full throttle over the next few weeks. Iโve been recovering faster with this right-hand surgery than with my previous right-hand surgery, and this latest one required more surgical work. Itโs a good sign so far. Itโs good news.
โIf Manny Pacquiao does want to fight me and make big money in a huge fight, then letโs do it. If not, thatโs OK with me. I can fight Rolly in a rematch โ either route is OK with me.โ
