Terence Crawford Next Fight Set For October 23, Opponent TBD

Terence Crawford‘s next title defense is virtually set.

As per boxing reporter Dan Rafael, Bob Arum has confirmed that the WBO welterweight champion will defend his title on October 23 next.

There is no official word on an opponent but it likely won’t be a a super fight with unified super lightweight champion Josh Taylor.

“Promoter @BobArum tells me that @terencecrawford’s next fight will be Oct. 23 on ESPN. No opponent set just yet but said the @trboxing team is working on it. #boxing”

Arum previously stated Crawford’s next opponent could be a super lightweight that moves up which includes the likes of Regis Prograis, Jose Ramirez or Jose Zepeda as possibilities.

Crawford’s last title defense came in November when he TKO’d Kell Brook in four rounds.
