Tyson Fury will regret not fighting Anthony Joshua, says Ricky Hatton
British boxing legend Ricky Hatton believes that Tyson Fury will regret not boxing Anthony Joshua if their proposed superfight never takes place.
As we know, Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is the fight every British boxing fan wants to see in the heavyweight division. It’s been in the works for years now, but for one reason or the other, it’s never quite transpired. Now, following two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, ‘The Gypsy King’ has claimed that he is retired from the sport.
Some believe him, whereas others believe he’s simply holding out for a bigger payday. Either way, the boxing world will continue to watch and wait to see what exactly Tyson Fury wants to do next.
Ricky Hatton, meanwhile, has a few opinions on how this whole thing has played out.
Ricky Hatton’s view on Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua
“Tyson’s retired before. It just so happens they were trying to make the Joshua fight. They were trying to make it for 10 years and it looks like they’re still not going to make it now Tyson’s retired.
“But I would take that retirement with a pinch of salt knowing Tyson. If he gets offered the right money, the right purse for the AJ fight, knowing Tyson as I do, I think he’d jump at it.”
“I think Tyson will kick himself if he’s sat on his sofa 10 years down the line and thinks to himself: ‘I wonder what would have happened if I’d have fought AJ?'” Hatton said.

For Tyson Fury, he needs to decide how willing he is to put on a fight of this magnitude. If he does, he could create one of the biggest spectacles in recent memory – if he doesn’t, fans will forever sit and wonder about what would’ve happened.
