Luis Arias beat Jarrett Hurd over 10 rounds on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul.
Arias was able to land at will on the former unified super welterweight champion throughout four rounds. Hurd began to creep back into the bout in the middle rounds before Arias once again took over.
In the ninth round Hurd scored a knockdown after Arias appeared to slip on the ring surface which caused both men issues throughout the fight due to the adverse weather condition. Arias dominated the round besides that unfortunate moment.
Arias cemented his win in the final frame and appeared to truly hurt his opponent for the first time. As the final bell rang Hurd landed a big punch that dropped Arias to one knee but the referee ruled that it was not a knockdown.
