Anthony Joshua can still land big fights, says Frank Warren

Boxing promoter Frank Warren still believes that Anthony Joshua can get himself into big fights, even after this latest injury setback.

For the longest time now, Anthony Joshua has been located towards the top of the food chain in boxing’s heavyweight division. However, following on from defeats to Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois, AJ needs to bounce back. It’s easier said than done given the sharks that he swims with, but he’s more than talented enough to get back in the title picture.

Unfortunately, Anthony Joshua recently suffered an injury setback. Frank Warren, meanwhile, who promotes Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois, had the following to say about his future in a recent interview with Sky Sports.

Anthony Joshua backed for more big fights by Frank Warren

“We’re making these fights happen.

“All I know is whatever they advise him [Joshua], the majority of the heavyweights are with us.

“That door has been taken off the hinges, just walk straight in and we’ll make it.

“I understand something was going on [with an injury]. For him there’s no rush, he’s there and he’ll decide in his own time what he wants to do.

“I’m sure his team will support him wholeheartedly whatever his decision is.”
