Ryan Garcia is pretty relaxed about Devin Haney rivalry
Ryan Garcia‘s recent remarks about his rivalry with Devin Haney seem to indicate that he feels pretty relaxed by the idea of a rematch against his long-time foe.
For the longest time now, Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney have been intertwined. Following their respective journeys up to the top of professional boxing, they collided in a professional setting for the first time – with Ryan getting his hand raised in victory. However, that was eventually turned into a no contest after a reported doping violation from Garcia.
Now, both Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will return to action on the same night as part of a blockbuster card in Times Square, New York City. Ahead of that, though, Garcia had the following to say about the ordeal regarding Haney.
Ryan Garcia’s view on Devin Haney rivalry
“Me and Devin after that. Rolly, Devin, and on to the next one,” said Ryan Garcia to the Akin Reyes and Barak Bess YouTube channel about the fights he has planned for 2025. “Teofimo Lopez and Boots Ennis,” said Kingry on the fights he wants in 2026.
“I was in the ring with him, and I beat him. That’s it. Yeah, I wasn’t going to give him [Devin] the fight unless he dropped it [the lawsuit]. I got what I wanted. Not for me. Maybe for people in general, but for me, I don’t feel no way towards it,” said Garcia when asked if he feels there’s a stain on his record because of his positive test for the banned substance Ostarine.
“I’ll beat him again. That’s why I did it so easy. I’m not going to lose. This is something that [Riyadh Season] wanted. I don’t feel no way towards it. I feel like I beat him the first time. That’s that,” said Ryan.
