Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr Betting Preview

The world of professional boxing is certainly a strange one and over the course of the last few years, it’s gotten even stranger. One of the reasons for that, above all others, is the introduction of influencer boxing. It has swung the door wide open for people of all different backgrounds to test the waters in the ring, and most notably, a lot of well-known YouTubers have decided to give it a whirl.

One of the big names that comes to mind, of course, is Jake Paul. The man known as β€˜The Problem Child’ has done everything in his power to carve out a legitimate career for himself in boxing and for the most part, he’s been successful. He has garnered a lot of attention across the majority of his fights, with perhaps his biggest moment coming when he was able to defeat Mike Tyson in a bout that was broadcast to the world on Netflix.

At this point, it’s all about seeing what kind of route Paul is going to go down next. Some believe he’ll continue to take on fellow influencers and fighters from mixed martial arts, whereas others think he’s going to start testing himself more. Well, on June 28, we know that he’ll be facing off with none other than Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in Anaheim, California.

For those who don’t know, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr was once tipped to be the next big thing in the squared circle. Unfortunately, as the years have gone on, he hasn’t quite been able to live up to his potential – even though he did manage to secure a big-money fight against Canelo Alvarez almost a decade ago.

Plus, in June 2021, he was handed what many considered to be an incredibly detrimental loss when he was beaten by UFC legend Anderson Silva. Then, just over a year later, Paul and Silva actually fought each other, with Jake getting his hand raised in victory.

So whether you’re here to check out betting predictions on Legalbet.uk or you’re just interested in the fight, we’re going to run through what we expect to happen when this fight happens later this summer.

There are no guarantees in any boxing match and we think it’s important to get that out of the way early here. However, if you’ve seen Chavez Jr compete at all in the last few years, you’ll know that his heart really isn’t in the game anymore.

He’s definitely able to hold his own and he was able to prove that against Uriah Hall, but Paul has a decent amount of experience in this particular sub-genre of boxing now. He knows how to navigate through tricky waters and although there may be a few nervous moments, we don’t think he’ll have too much trouble in picking up the win.

In terms of an official prediction, we aren’t confident enough to say that he’ll get the finish, but we do think a decision victory is likely – even if fans will expect more.
