Alex Saucedo vs. Sonny Fredrickson: Full Results

Top Rank Boxing returns today with a four-bout card coming from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The event is set to begin at 8 pm (ET)

This time last week, we saw an upset when Joshua Franco captured the WBA super flyweight from Jason Moloney. No titles will be on the line in tonight’s main event, which sees Alex Saucedo (29-1, 19 KO) taking on Sonny Fredrickson (21-2, 14 KO) in a 10 round super lightweight clash.

The 26-year-old Saucedo is a former title challenger and will be looking to get himself back into contention. He is an exciting fighter to watch, and while Fredrickson is the underdog, if he is willing to stand and trade with Saucedo, then we could have a real fireworks display tonight.

The co-main event is another super lightweight clash between Puerto Rico’s Josue Vargas (16-1, 9 KO) and Mexico’s Salvador Briceno (17-5, 11 KO). Vargas is an upcoming talent, and tonight’s clash with Briceno will give the 22-year-old a chance to continue building his resume.
