Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev Weigh-in Results

Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua is set to return to the ring on Saturday against Kubrat Pulev and the two had to be separated at weigh-ins.

Joshua is set to defend his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles after reclaiming the belts last December with the win over Andy Ruiz Jr. in their rematch. If he wins on Saturday, the expectation is a fight between him and Tyson Fury will come to fruition in 2021.

Kubrat Pulev, meanwhile, is 28-1 and riding an eight-fight winning streak with notable wins over Hughie Fury and Derek Chisora.

Anthony Joshua believes he has nothing to lose entering this scrap as he already lost once. So, for him, he is no looking forward to competing against the best.

“The pressure I went through last year was tough, but it made me stronger, mentally,” said Joshua (via SkySports). “I grew a thicker skin, and I’ve always been tough. Always wanted to fight the best. That’s never been an issue. What have I got to lose? I’ve got everything to gain. I want to be successful in boxing, and the only way to be successful is taking on good challengers and this is another one that I’m looking forward to competing with.”

Pulev, meanwhile, is confident he will shock the world and beat Joshua on Saturday night in London.

“Yes I think I have everything,” said Pulev. “Respect for Anthony, an Olympic champion and world champion. Respect, a good fighter, but I’m ready. I have everything to be a champion.”
