Artem Lobov Claims He’s Making More Money Than 90-95% Of UFC Roster

Artem Lobov has established himself as one of the more recognizable names in the combat sports world.

After his run with the UFC came to a close, Lobov decided to venture off and see where he could make the most money. He has since signed on with Bare-Knuckle FC, where he has essentially become the face of the promotion.

As he prepares for his highly-anticipated rematch with Jason Knight at BKFC 9, Lobov spoke to MMA Fighting and opened up on his new career in bare-knuckle combat. Lobov said he’s thankful for his time in the UFC, before noting he makes more money now than 90 to 95 percent of their roster.

โ€œDonโ€™t get me wrong, Iโ€™m very thankful for UFC. The reason why Iโ€™m getting all these offers is in large part because I was a UFC fighter and thatโ€™s where I made my name,โ€ Lobov said.

โ€œHaving said that, of course everybody wants to be champion, yes thatโ€™s good to be in the UFC but the thing is we all have families, we all have mouths to feed and we all need to provide. Iโ€™m able to do it a lot better outside the UFC than when I was in the UFC.

“”I watch the pay disclosures after every card in the UFC and normally thereโ€™s one guy on the card who gets paid more than me. If thereโ€™s a big, huge card maybe thereโ€™s three or four. So I get paid more than 90 or 95 percent of the UFC fighters so Iโ€™m happy Iโ€™m in the position that Iโ€™m in.โ€

The financial stability that Lobov has found outside of the UFC now allows him more time to focus on his craft.

โ€œWhen you donโ€™t have to worry about the financial side, you can truly concentrate on the craft,โ€ Lobov said. โ€œYou can truly concentrate on the fights you really want to have.

โ€œYou have that freedom and itโ€™s extremely important especially when you have a family and you have to provide.”

Do you think Lobov is truly making more money than 90 to 95 percent of the UFC roster?
