Deontay Wilder Claims Tyson Fury Was Getting Pieced Up In Sparring By One Of His Training Partners

Deontay Wilder appears to have a mole in Tyson Fury’s training camp and he claims the Englishman is getting pieced up by one of his training partners.

Wilder and Fury are set to have their trilogy match on October 9 in Las Vegas. It’s an intriguing matchup given that Fury dominated Wilder last time out but “The Bronze Bomber” has changed things in camp and knows he has gotten better, while he claims Fury has gotten worse as people he is working with are piecing up the heavyweight champ.

“I’m ready. I hope they are ready. I hope they have their priorities in line,” Wilder told the PBC podcast (via Mirror). “Their gameplan, how they are going to approach the fight. I know he wasn’t doing well in camp. The young guys were piecing him up, I had a young guy from my camp who was piecing him up. Sparring has been amazing for me, I can’t say names but just know there have been a lot of people on the canvas. You will see a reinvented Deontay Wilder. Something you’ve never seen before, in the time off we have done nothing but work, work, work, even when my body rested, my mind was still at it.”

Who the exact training partner is, is uncertain and whether or not it is true is also unknown. However, Wilder is no doubt confident he will right the wrong and will KO Fury in the trilogy.

“This Deontay would knock out the old Deontay in two rounds. He is 10 times more focused, training 100 times harder. It is a violent camp. His mentality is very violent,” Scott told Sky Sports. “This will be the best version of Deontay Wilder that you have ever seen. They underestimate his IQ. He is not some big, dumb guy who just throws a right hand. There is method to his madness. Deontay’s IQ is very high. I watch him create, watch him put himself in position, set guys up into surgical traps. Deontay will knock Fury out inside of five rounds.”
