Billy Joe Saunders Accused Of Stabbing Fellow Traveller After Getting Dropped Three Times

Billy Joe Saunders has been accused by a traveller from a family called the Dunnes of stabbing someone and pulling a gun out after he was dropped three times in a street fight.

“Right, this goes out to you Billy Joe Saunders: My son Johnny last night, three punches, he put you on your arse. That’s Canelo beat you and my son beat you, Johnny Dunne. He put you on your arse.

Apparently, after the fight didn’t go his way, the former two-weight world champion stabbed his opponent in the hand with a knife. Saunders is also accused of pulling out a firearm but being too scared to use it.

“Billy Joe, you pulled a knife, you drived it straight through my son’s hand and out the far side,” the man in the video said. “He had a better chance of being world champion boxer than you, god knows where his future’s gone now with the injury you give him in his hand. You drove a knife straight through his hand. You pulled a gun and you stuck it in my Patrick’s face. He told you to pull the trigger but you never had the balls. You never had the balls to pull the trigger.”

“You pulled your weapons, you got my sons arrested,” he added. “My two sons now, there’s one in hospital getting his hand fixed and the other two is up in the police station over ye for starting that fight in a public place.” (Transcribed by British Boxing News)

Saunders hasn’t fought since suffering the first professional defeat of his boxing career. The 32-year-old was boxing well against Canelo before getting caught flush with a punch that broke his eye socket and ended the fight between the eighth and ninth rounds.
