BJ Flores Hopes Jake Paul Will Return In Early 2023

Jake Paul

BJ Flores is hoping his pupil Jake Paul can make a quick turnaround.

Paul improved to 6-0 last weekend as he picked up a decision win over Anderson Silva for the biggest win of his career. It capped off a very interesting year for Paul that saw fights against Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. be called off.

Now, after getting just one fight in this year, Flores is hoping Paul will return early next year as he believes the YouTuber-turned-boxer has a lot more to prove.

“Jake has a lot of ability and focus. People that aren’t around when he trains don’t get to see that. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Jake has an ability that still hasn’t been by everyone else,” Flores told BoxingScene.com

As of right now, it’s uncertain who Jake Paul will fight next. He called out Nate Diaz after his win but whether or not that will happen is uncertain.

However, regardless of the opponent, BJ Flores wants to see Paul return in February or March against whoever.

“Hopefully he can be back in February or March.  Jake has zero injuries and is ready to get right back in the ring. Anderson was very tough. He was game. Much respect to the champion,” said Flores.

Jake Paul (6-0) is coming off the win over Silva while before that he had back-to-back wins over Tyron Woodley including one by KO. He also has the TKO win over Ben Askren, while he knocked out Nate Robinson and in his debut TKO’d fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib.
