George Kambosos Believes Teofimo Lopez Has A โSuspect Chinโ
George Kambosos is looking to test the โsuspect chinโ of Teofimo Lopez when they square off for the WBA โSuperโ, IBF, WBO and WBC Franchise belts on June 5.
Lopez beat Vasiliy Lomachenko in October to become undisputed at lightweight. The 23-year-old will attempt to continue his rise to superstardom by defending his belts against Kambosos on Triller pay-per-view.
The Australian believes heโs got the power to finish Lopez early and also the skills to outbox the champion over 12 rounds.
โMy skills and my defense are very underrated,โ Kambosos told Pro Boxing Fans.
โLopez is going to find out the hard way, they think theyโre coming up against one style but Iโve got many styles I adapt, Iโm a true champion, I adapt.
โI canโt wait for this fight, I see many holes in this kidโs game and we know what weโve got to do. Iโm coming up with a fantastic game plan with my team. Iโve been putting in work, Iโm hitting harder than ever, Iโm faster than ever and [Iโm going to get the] victory by any means.
Kambosos won’t be suprised if he takes out Lopez inside three rounds.
โI know this kidโs got a suspect chin,โ Kambosos said. โIf I can crack him with one shot, the speed and power that I possess and the explosive shots that I pop off, donโt be surprised if he goes down in three [rounds]. Theyโve been saying three [rounds], sometimes things go the other way.
“But I’m fully prepared for whatever way this fight goes, we’ve seen in many of my fights that I love the 12 rounds.” (Transcribed by Boxing Scene)
Kambosos earned his shot at the champion with split decision win over Lee Selby in October. The 27-year-old boasts an undefeated record after 19 professional fights.
Do you agree with George Kambosos? Is Teofimo Lopezโs chin suspect?
