Jordan Gill Scores Incredible Comeback KO Win (Video)

Jordan Gill

Jordan Gill scored an incredible comeback KO win over Karim Guerfi over the weekend.

Gill became the new European featherweight champion as he improved his record to 27-1-1 with a ninth-round KO win over Guerfi. Although Gill got his hand raised, it looked like he was going to get dominated as he got dropped and was getting pieced up. It was not looking good for Gill but with seconds to go in the ninth round, he landed a monster shot that KO’s Guerfi.

After the event, Eddie Hearn was pleased with the KO and he said he thought Gill’s corner could’ve very well stopped the fight and thrown in the towel. But, with them not doing it, Jordan Gill was able to get a massive KO win.

“That was one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen,” Hearn said after the event. “I felt like the fight should probably have been stopped; he (Gill) couldn’t stand up, he has a perforated ear drum and his balance was shot. He was getting beat up but looking back now, it shouldn’t have been stopped but there are many refs or cornermen who [would have stopped it]. It was like something out of a Rocky movie when they both went over at the same time. At the end of the day, it’s not human what Jordan Gill did there. He couldn’t stand up, his ear drum was perforated, he has a haematoma…”

Jordan Gill got back into the win column in a big way as before the KO win, he had a draw against Alan Castillo. He also holds notable wins over Jason Cunningham, Ryan Doyle, and Reece Bellotti.
