Teofimo Lopez shows interest in fighting on Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis card
Teofimo Lopez has declared that he’s interested in fighting on the Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis card later this year.
As we know, Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis are set to face off on November 14th in an absolutely blockbuster exhibition boxing match. A lot of people can’t quite believe it’s happening, and many more are just a bit frustrated that it actually is. Teofimo Lopez, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to be too bothered – in fact, he’s actively encouraging it.
Teofimo Lopez certainly knows how to make some noise and he knows how to generate controversy. Both in and outside of the ring, he’s a vocal and opinionated guy, and we can’t imagine that’s going to change. After all, he’s made a lot of money off the back of it already.
In a recent tweet, though, Teofimo Lopez certainly raised a few eyebrows by suggesting that he actually wants to be part of the Paul vs Davis card.
Teofimo Lopez looks ahead to Paul/Davis
“I don’t know about anyone else, but congratulations to all those in play for the November 14th “El Gallo” VS. “Tank” event. I’d love to fight on their card as another exhibition! I believe it’d be fun and historical. [fist emoji] @netflix @MostVpromotions @StateFarmArena”
Lopez, ironically, is a pretty popular guy when it comes to people wanting to face off against him – but it doesn’t seem like that’s where his attention is right now. He wants an exhibition fight, and he seemingly wants to be paid pretty handsomely for it.
Boxing is in a strange place right now and it certainly needs an injection of life. With that being said, we don’t think this is what a lot of people had in mind, and it’ll be interesting to see if this event actually ends up going ahead.
