Tyson Fury Agrees That $1 Million Isn’t Enough For Tommy Fury To Box Jake Paul

Tyson Fury agrees with his half-brother Tommy Fury, that $1 million isn’t enough to box Jake Paul due to the magnitude of the fight.

After both Fury and Paul won on the same card, many expected that to be the next fight. Yet, recently Paul came out and said Fury has turned him down twice and gave him a public offer of $1 million. Fury, responded to the offer and said $1 million isn’t enough money.

“To everybody out there, $1 million for a fight of this magnitude is not even worth getting out of bed for, this fight is going to gross millions and millions of pounds. I cannot walk down the street without anybody asking me when are you fighting Jake Paul? So until you want to make a serious offer and put it on the table, we can’t think about fighting pal…

This is a very smart tactic in what he is doing,” Fury continued. “It is used by a lot of fighters when they don’t want to fight somebody. It makes it out to the public that he has made plenty of offers, reached out to have the fight and I have turned it down and I don’t want the fight. But as I previously said, in boxing terms $1 million is nothing especially for a fight of this size. Tomorrow or tonight is soon enough to fight you get your figures up and we can talk.”

Although Tommy Fury said that $1 million isn’t enough to box Jake Paul, many criticized him for that. However, Tyson Fury also agrees that $1 million isn’t fair due to how much money the fight will make.

“I’d advise Tommy to take it if he was a bag handler or a cornerman or something… Tommy has massive support in England, he has like 4 million followers, he’s a really big name. He would get a lot of pay-per-views from the UK as well. Just say they did a million buys in America and I don’t know half a million buys at 5 in the morning in the UK,” Fury said to Chris Mannix. “Why on earth would he take $1 million to fight Jake Paul when say there is like $25 million on the table when all the TV people have been paid. Unless he wants to take that million dollars and be treated like shit basically. It’s not a fair split.”

Tyson Fury does have a point that Fury and Paul should be closer to a split in pay. However, it seems like Paul is stuck on the $1 million figure and if that is the case, the fight likely won’t happen.
