Tyson Fury Says He Doesn’t Blame Oleksandr Usyk For Wanting More Money, But Confident He’d ‘Annihilate’ Him

Tyson Fury gets why Oleksandr Usyk is holding out for more money.

Fury vs. Usyk is one of the biggest fights to make in boxing at this time, and the offer was a 70-30 split in favor of Fury. Although Usyk agreed, he countered with a 70-30 split for him in the rematch should he win, which Fury stood firm on a 50-50 split for the rematch.

With that, the fight has not been made and now both may have to fight other people, which is disappointing for Fury.

“I would love to fight Usyk for the undisputed titles. But at the minute Usyk is running like a cheater, he is running so fast, he can’t get away from me quick enough. The only reason this fight hasn’t happened is Usyk wants more bags, he wants more money,” Fury stated in Foxify Trade Twitter Spaces (h/t BoxingScene). “So, I can’t hold it against him. I know he’s a family man and he’s got mouths to feed, so I wish him luck, it’s not personal, it’s a sport for one and a business for two. But, when we do finally meet, I’m going to annihilate him, that’s a fact.”

As of right now, the fight is still not made but recently, Amer Abdallah, of promotional company Skill Challenge Entertainment of Saudi Arabia said a lucrative offer would be going out to Tyson Fury to make the Oleksandr Uysk fight in Saudi Arabia.

“The premium offer will be coming soon, it will be based on the market value and demand of the fight. Tyson is frustrated, he wants to fight. If he can land something in September or October and then clear himself for December, we would love to make that offer,” Abdallah told Talk Sport. “It will be a premium price, we would never insult anybody with the offer. Prince Khaled when he makes an offer, they are big offers and he has no problem doing that. He is backed by the Ministry of Sport and everybody within the region.”

Tyson Fury is coming off a TKO win over Derek Chisora back in December.
