Jermall Charlo vs Thomas LaManna Betting Preview
Towards the end of the month, we’re set to see the return of Jermall Charlo – one half of the famous brothers. He’ll be returning to action in a battle with Thomas LaManna and although it’s a fight that he’s expected to breeze through with flying colours, we’ve come to learn that the spot of boxing isn’t always that simple. In fact, sometimes, it can surprise you in ways that you otherwise thought impossible.
Jermall Charlo is the A-side in this fight and you can tell by the way he’s been talking about it already. He has his mind set on retaining the title and protecting his family’s legacy, and who can blame him? He’s faced tougher opponents than LaManna before and while you can’t count out the underdog entirely, he’ll firmly believe that he is more than good enough to send him further back down the card.

So whether you’re here to check out slots or you just want to know a little bit more about the fight, we’re going to take a glance at what exactly this bout has in store. Spoiler: we don’t think it’s going to be a classic or even one that you remember a few months from now, but in many ways, the bigger picture is a whole lot more interesting.
This certainly comes across as the kind of challenge that gives Charlo the opportunity to put on a bit of a showcase and that’s what we’re expecting from him here. He’s sharp, dynamic and fascinating to watch when he wants to be, and that last point is an important distinction. He needs to be properly motivated for this collision and with perhaps a much bigger payday on the horizon, we believe he’ll be more than ready for the challenge.
LaManna needs to stick and move early on, be patient, and then be ready to pull the trigger when called upon. We’ve certainly oversimplified matters with that kind of description but it really is the best route forward for him if he’s serious about picking up the win. It’s going to get ugly in certain spots but that’s the kind of environment he thrives in, and we do feel as if his handful of losses are, in some way, probably going to benefit him.

Charlo has a tendency to get the knockout more often than not if you take a look at his professional record but with five decision triumphs in his last six, it certainly seems like he’s more conservative these days – which makes sense, given that he’s now in the second half of his 30s. He needs to be more cautious, and that’s the right mentality if he wants to get through this one unscathed.
In terms of an official prediction, we’re going to go out on a limb and say that LaManna will take him to the scorecards. Ultimately, however, it won’t be enough just to get him there, with Charlo edging over the finish line with a decision victory.
Official prediction: Jermall Charlo defeats Thomas LaManna via unanimous decision
