He captivated the hearts of the working class in Asia as he reigned as WBA Featherweight Champion. This reign lasted almost a decade, where Chris beat legends like Juan Manuel Marquez, Rocky Juarez, and Daud Jordan.

During his incredible run as a pro, John only lost in his last match and ended his legendary career at 48-1.

Chang Jung-Koo(South Korea)

Legendary South Korean champion, Chang Jung-Koo is next on our list of the best boxers from Asia. For 11 years, “The Korean Hawk” was one of the best flyweight fighters of all time.

In 1983, Chang knocked out Hilario Zapata to win his first world flyweight title. He would go on to hold the title, a then record of six years until 1989.

Jung-Koo ended his professional career in the early 1990s with a record of 38-4. In 2010, The Korean Hawk was enshrined in the International Boxing Hall of Fame. The Korean legend is still considered one of the best flyweight boxers in the sport’s history.
