David Haye enjoyed a successful return to the ring.

The former cruiserweight boxing champion fought close friend Joe Fournier and outclassed him over eight rounds on Triller Fight Club’s Saturday night event.

It was Haye’s first fight since 2018 as he displayed the difference in levels especially with his jab, with one dropping Fournier towards the end of the first round.

In the end, he won a dominant unanimous decision victory and inflicted Fournier’s first career defeat in the process.

It’s not going to be the complete end of Haye’s career either.

After impressing with his performance, the 40-year-old stated he would come back for one more fight only — one with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

“That big fat dosser, I know what he can’t handle. I’m his kryptonite. I know he’s dodging Anthony Joshua because he doesn’t want that work, I’ll give it to him. The fans want to see it.”

The pair were notably set to fight in 2013 until injury ruled Haye out.
