Gervonta Davis arrested on domestic violence charge
Gervonta Davis has reportedly been arrested due to a domestic violence charge against his ex-girlfriend.
As we know, Gervonta Davis is considered by many to be one of the best pound for pound fighters in all of professional boxing. The man known as ‘Tank’ has picked up some big wins throughout the course of his career and he was supposedly set to battle Lamont Roach Jr. in August in a rematch of their recent clash.
Now, however, as reported by The Guardian, Gervonta Davis has been arrested, likely throwing the bout into severe doubt – which is hardly the most important thing here.

The report indicates that Davis was arrested on Friday in Florida based on a domestic violence charge, a month after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend on Father’s Day.
He was taken into custody on Miami Beach before being booked, and he’s being held without bond as per jail records. It’s reported that an argument escalated into a physical altercation, with Davis allegedly hitting the woman in the back of the head and slapping her in the face.
Davis did not sign a Miranda warning form when questioned and was charged with battery causing bodily harm. His bond will be set, but it has not happened yet. The victim also reportedly sent a message to her mother in the midst of the incident.
At this point, it’s not clear as to what will happen regarding Gervonta Davis’ boxing career. Once again, though, there are far more pressing matters to consider.
