Jake Paul hits out at TKO for trying to change Ali Act in boxing
Jake Paul has hit out at TKO for suggesting changes to the Muhammad Ali Act, which gives protection to boxers.
As we know, Jake Paul has been pretty vocal when it comes to standing up for the sport of professional boxing. He also hasn’t been afraid to throw jabs and jibes at the likes of Dana White, largely over the issue of fighter pay. Now, he may be about to step into another war of words with Dana.
The Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act was created to ensure that promoters could not own championship belts, and that independent sanctioning bodies regulate them. As you can imagine, due to the protection this gives fighters, it’s never been something that some promoters are big fans of.
Given that TKO are trying to change it, it’s hardly surprising that Jake Paul had a view on the matter.
Jake Paul’s view on Ali Act
“I just don’t think it should be a thing, absolutely not,” Paul told MMA Junkie during a media scrum on Tuesday. “It’s there for a reason, and the Muhammad Ali Act is very, very important.”
Jake reiterated that he thinks it hands too much control back to promoters.
“One hundred percent, which is why it’s something we want to avoid,” Paul said. “MVP is always fighter first, and we always care about the fights, and we know what these fighters have to go through. We don’t want them to be taken advantage of, and I think getting rid of the act would lead to things in those situations.”

Buckle up, fight fans, because this is the kind of battle that could lead to some pretty interesting outcomes – and not all of them are going to be good for the fighters that you know and love.
